How to become a listener

It’s easy to become a listener. You can do it in one of two ways:

  • register online
  • or simply telephone our listener liaison officer on 01299 823278

We will contact you as soon as possible after receiving your request to arrange a free weekly service through your letter box.

we will provide a boombox memory stick player at  no charge!

All we ask of you is that you return the memory stick to us in its wallet when you have finished with it. (No charge!)

You can receive the Wyre Forest Talking Newspaper on memory stick every week if you live in the Wyre Forest area (or have a connection with it and live away) and are unable to read a conventional newspaper.

The service costs nothing for listeners who are blind or visually impaired and only the price of a stamp to those who cannot read a newspaper because of some other disability.

The talking newspaper recordings are sent out each Friday evening by post, and most listeners receive theirs on Saturday morning. (some on Monday or Tuesday, depending on location).
